Roadmap

MPBC roadmap. Research and testing: Blockspace Forum Buenos Aires in November 2025, exploratory pilots on Hoodi in January 2026, Blockspace Forum Cannes in March 2026, MPBC live testing in July 2026. V1 mainnet: mainnet kick-off in Q3 2026, live now; then improved proposer interface, transaction tracing and performance-based compensation during 2026. V2 mainnet: planned V2 from Q4 2026 to Q1 2027.

Improved proposer interface

Operators will offer streaming bids to proposers. This makes bid delivery more reliable and faster, leading to higher-value blocks and more predictable inclusion. Additional detail is provided in the node operator section.

Transaction tracing

Operators currently expose per-slot information on multi-party blocks. Per-transaction tracing will expand this, allowing originators and builders to better understand how operators handled individual transactions.

Performance-based compensation

The additional value created by MPBC is currently split evenly between proposers, operators, base and contributing builders. A future version will add performance-based compensation for operators, which incentivizes them to increase the maximum bid as much as possible through services including merging and optimized block propagation.

V2 improvements

MPBC is currently limited to non-contentious transactions that can be appended to the bottom of blocks, like simple transfers and self-contained transaction bundles. The V2 of MPBC is still exploring how to expand this scope to transactions that require granular placement in the block to execute successfully, such as transactions competing for state and oracle updates. Allowing multiple builders to contribute these additional transaction types will unlock value and increase robustness further.
